How do I create my fit profile?
Customizing Your Perfect Fit
At Zellerfeld, we don’t just print shoes; we build them specifically for your feet. To help us get everything just right, you’ll encounter a few choices during the ordering process. Here is a breakdown of what those options mean for you.
1. Standard Shoe Size
As a starting point, we ask for your usual standard shoe size. This gives our system a baseline to work from before we refine the dimensions using your 3D foot scan.
2. Choose Your Fit (Beta)
We want to know how you like your shoes to feel.
- Snug: Best if you prefer a "second-skin" feel with maximum lockdown.
- Standard: The "sweet spot." A secure fit with enough room for everyday socks.
- Loose: Ideal if you like extra toe room or want to be able to slip your shoes on and off easily.
Important Update: Our custom fit profiles are currently in Beta. While we are collecting your preferences to refine our technology, we cannot guarantee they will be fully applied to the current print version yet. By sharing your preference, you help us perfect the system for the upcoming live launch.
3. Choose Your Midsole (Beta)
The midsole determines the "ride" of the shoe. How it feels when your foot hits the ground.
- Soft: If you love that "walking on clouds" sensation and maximum cushioning.
- Medium: A perfect balance between comfort and support for all-day wear.
- Stiff: For those who prefer a firm, stable base and a better feel for the ground.
4. Scanning Your Feet (The Final Step)
To truly unlock the power of 3D printing, we need a 3D model of your feet.
- How it works: You will be guided through a simple step-by-step process using your smartphone camera.
- No App Required: You can complete the scan directly in your mobile browser.
- Why it matters: This scan allows us to adjust the internal geometry of the shoe to match your unique foot shape, ensuring a level of comfort that traditional manufacturing simply can't match
Important Note on Orthopedic Use: Please note that while our 3D-printing technology allows for a high degree of customization, Zellerfeld shoes are currently designed for lifestyle and general wear only. At this stage, we do not produce medical or orthopedic footwear. If you require specific corrective supports or medically prescribed footwear, our current products may not be suitable for those specific needs.
