How to Sell Zellerfeld Products Through Your Own Store
Zellerfeld uses Shopify Collective (US partners) or Syncee (international partners) to connect your store. When a customer orders a Zellerfeld product from your shop, you handle the sale as normal — Zellerfeld fulfils the order and only receives payment once the product ships.
This guide walks you through the full setup.
1. Register Your Store
US partners: Register via Shopify Collective.
International partners: Download the Syncee app and use activation code NSHDA24.
2. Install Required Apps
You'll need a few Shopify apps to support the ordering and scanning flows:
- FlowMail — required for the post-purchase scan email flow
- Smart Checkout Rules or Pify Orders Limits Quantity — to limit Zellerfeld items to 1 pair per order (this is a temporary platform requirement)
- Locksmith (optional) — for password-protecting products before launch
3. Import Products
Once connected, your Zellerfeld products will appear in Shopify Collective.
- Import the product(s) into your store — they'll arrive in Draft Mode.
- Rename each product to your preferred item name (Zellerfeld uses "Collective" internally to track these).
- Check prices and colour variants are correct.
- Set the product to Active when you're ready to launch.
Tip: You can launch exclusive colourways only in your shop. Speak to your Zellerfeld contact to arrange this.
4. Set Up Checkout Limitations
Customers can currently only purchase 1 pair of Zellerfeld shoes per order (they can still add other products). Use Smart Checkout Rules or Pify to enforce this limit on Zellerfeld items.
5. Create Order Metafields
Zellerfeld uses metafields to pass data (like scan IDs) to your orders.
- Go to Settings → Metafields in your Shopify admin.
- Create the required Order metafields and Variant metafields as specified by your Zellerfeld contact.
6. Build the Scan Email Flow
After a customer places an order, they need to receive an email containing a link to scan their feet for a custom fit. The scan is optional — customers can also stick with the size they selected at checkout.
- Create a Shopify Flow that triggers when a customer buys a Zellerfeld product.
- The email should include the scan link:
https://www.zellerfeld.com/pages/how-to-scan-your-feet?order_id=followed by the ZF Scan Link order metafield (this is populated automatically by Zellerfeld). - You can use Shopify Email, Klaviyo, or your preferred email tool.
- Test it by creating a manual draft order in Shopify and confirming the scan link appears in your order metafield. Zellerfeld will cancel the test order so you won't be charged.
7. Build the Fit Feedback Flow
After an order has been delivered, Zellerfeld asks customers for fit feedback via a short survey.
- Create a second Shopify Flow that triggers after delivery.
- The email should link to:
https://form.typeform.com/to/G6QQGihN#id={{order.id}}&o=collective-[your-brand-name] - Replace
[your-brand-name]with your store name.
8. Update Your Product Page
Add the following information to your product detail pages:
- Size info — Let customers know they'll have the option to scan their feet after ordering for a custom fit, or they can keep the size they selected.
- Delivery time — Zellerfeld products are made-to-order, so delivery takes longer than standard items. Set expectations clearly — the tradeoff is a custom product.
- Attribution — Add a "Powered by Zellerfeld" badge or banner to the product page.
9. Confirm Shipping Countries
Zellerfeld ships worldwide with some exceptions (e.g. Russia, Mexico). Discuss which countries to whitelist or blacklist with your Zellerfeld contact before launch.
10. Customer Service & Refunds
- You own the customer relationship. Zellerfeld acts as supplier only and cannot contact your customers directly.
- Provide at least a contact email on your site.
- For product-specific queries, you can direct customers to Zellerfeld Help.
- Refunds are processed automatically in both systems. Check your Shopify settings to confirm automatic refunds are enabled — if set to manual, you'll need to process them yourself.
